Change of ownership, renovation and sympathetic refurb embracing the buildings long history and original features has seen The Grade 2 listed Bridge House re emerge as a relaxed, stylish and extremely welcoming place to be, .
Each room has its own unique character, the rooms in the eves at the top of the house, are full of cosy charm with the effortlessly stylish rooms on the first floor. The house is filled with carefully chosen treasures from the famous local antique emporiums and vintage markets of Bridport and the surrounding area. All rooms enjoy the highest quality crisp cotton bedding, fluffy towelling bath robes and an extensive hospitality tray using local products. All rooms have Nespresso machines, irons and ironing boards along with an umbrella. Just in case…

First Floor King
On the first floor, with a king size bed and en suite bathroom with bath tub and shower over.
Our First Floor Cosy Single Rooms
Single occupancy rooms on the first floor with en suite shower room and queen bed (4ft). These rooms are perfect for the independent traveller or those in the area on business, also very popular with groups of friends travelling together, yet wanting their own private space.
First Floor Double
First Floor Super King Four poster
A larger room on the first floor with four poster bed. En suite bathroom with bathtub and shower over.
First Floor Twin room/ Super king
A spacious twin room on the first floor which can also be up into a Super king. (Please state preference at time of booking) En suite bathroom with bathtub and shower over.
Second Floor Double with child sofa bed
Second floor double room with the addition of a child’s sofa bed. Due to being in the eaves of the house the en suite has a bath tub to wallow in and a hand held attachment. No Shower. The room has a cottage style window.
Second Floor Snug Double (Great for one, tight for two)
A very charming and popular little room on the second floor with standard double bed and en suite. Suits one guest, or two to snuggle. In the eves of the house with its ceiling beams and a cottage style window. There is a newly renovated shower room and as with all of our rooms, has fluffy bathrobes, complimentary teas, coffees, coffee machine, toiletries, etc
Second Floor Family Room
Second floor family room consisting of a standard double bed and two standard single beds. En suite with bath tub and hand held attachment only. No shower. Cottage style window in the room.
Our rooms all have:
- En-suites: Double rooms have bathtub with shower over, single rooms have a shower. Please note that our top floor rooms do not have showers, just bathtubs for that long soak, a good book and a glass of wine can be provided….

- Disposable tray BBQ’s are not allowed on most local beaches. We have a few bucket BBQ’s to use and can even put something delicious together for you to cook. Please see details in our room folders or just ask.
- Chocolates, champagne, wines or flowers can also be arranged

Green Tourism
We are very aware of the environment and proud to say that on our first application to Green Tourism, were given a Silver award. Since then we have made further changes and continue to make improvements, within the restrictions of a Grade 2 listed building … hopefully working towards gold. We are constantly working to further reduce our carbon footprint and ask our guests to help us in energy efficiency, recycling and waste reduction by using the recycling bags in each room and adopting the little suggestions made here and there throughout the building.
