The best 😀 – One of the loveliest hotels we have ever stayed in. The welcome was warm and genuine. We were shown to our room because they care. Even though we had just booked a small room at the last minute we still had a sofa. Dinner was perfect. Breakfast was off the scale. The best eggs Benedict and full English (Dorset) we have ever had. The staff were friendly and seemed happy to be there!

Had a lovely weekend away in The Bridge House, the staff were super genuinely friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We had dinner on the Saturday evening and Sunday lunch the next day, the food was excellent, there was only one word for my fish dish in the evening, it was ‘exceptional’, the Chef certainly knows his stuff !!….all in all a very pleasant stay, where we were made to feel very much at home.

Me and dad arrived hours before our check in,but no problem parking the vehicle on site and have a look around Bridport until check in. The staff were amazing(especially the chef lol). That is probably one of the finest English breakfasts I’ve ever had. The building itself is stunning,and immaculate too. Honestly, we were looked after so well by the staff,so we will be back 😞 – Everything was epic

Almost like going to stay with your favourite family members! 😀 – The staff were all extremely warm and welcoming and went out of their way to be helpful and friendly, couldn’t fault them. Loved the downstairs cellar, very quaint and atmospheric. Also loved the attractive outdoor courtyard – The Potting Shed – with a large seating area and bar, a great place to relax at the end of the day! We both enjoyed the dinner that we had on our first night and the breakfast was exceptional! The hotel is perfectly positioned being close to all the shops, the numerous eateries and the start of the walk along the river through the tranquil Asker Meadows Nature Reserve. We nearly overlooked this – it links East St and South St, lovely to walk along after breakfast or in the early evening. To sum up, it felt like a privilege to stay in this beautiful Georgian building. 😞 – The only snag was that the early morning traffic noise from East Street, we shut both windows on the second night so it was less audible.

We were greeted & personally shown to our table. We were able to park on this occassion, as there was space. Parking is normally reserved for over night guests. There were 2 sets of steps to navigate, down to the cellar bar. The barmaid/waitress made us feel welcome. The shabby chic ‘old school’ decor creates a relaxed atmosphere. We popped in for a drink & a snack. Having observed happy diners, we hope to come back to sample lunch. I can’t comment on the rooms.

😀 – Loved staying here. Fabulous food – both breakfast and evening meal. Incredibly friendly and attentive staff. The hotel itself is special – rather different to the run of the mill. 😞 – Nothing

We had a fantastic roast dinner in the lovely garden , great service, fantastic atmosphere, extremely well run and amazing tasting food , a real gem for bridport .
